The Red Hat Customer Success team in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) is looking for a Cloud Consultant to join our team in Spain. In this role, you will guide the on-site delivery and implementation of modern Red Hat technology. You will focus on delivering quality work resulting in a positive customer experience, while building broad and deep technical expertise in Red Hat cloud technologies. As a Cloud Consultant, you'll gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructure with a particular focus on Red Hat OpenShift and business needs and make recommendations appropriate to their environment.

What you will do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, development, or strategic IT requirements
  • Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, implementation, testing, customer training, and deployment of enterprise-grade open source solutions
  • Understand industry practices and Red Hat's policies, procedures, and values
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting best methods to obtain solutions

What you will bring

  • Experience working directly with enterprise stakeholders on a range of development and deployment projects
  • Experience with and advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift or underlying components like Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with application development or application modernization
  • Knowledge of application architecture, including application servers, integration patterns, microservices, JEE, application architecture, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD)
  • Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and container technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders of technical and business audiences
  • Willingness to travel, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines
  • Fluent language skills in Spanish and English

The following will be a plus:

  • Practical experience with agile methods 
  • Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar and JavaScript 
  • Interest in, passion for, and experience working with open source technologies and communities
