About the job

The Red Hat Business Unit team is looking for a Hybrid Platforms Associate Technical Marketing Manager to join us. In this role, your primary activities will include creation and design of product demonstrations and technical content like technical blogs, whitepapers, and reference architectures to help the field better sell our Red Hat’s hybrid platforms solutions with a primary focus on Kubernetes at the edge of the data centre and related technologies. You will also help us engage with Red Hat’s customers to guide their success and gather product feedback. As a Hybrid Platforms Associate Technical Marketing Manager, you’ll need experience with or educational background in software development and software engineering; experience with Kubernetes and containers will be helpful. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you will do

  • Cooperate with product management teams to understand and assist with prioritizing feature and solutions definition
  • Work with product marketing to help align outbound activities with market directions and support the roadmap and releases of our offerings
  • Participate in technical aspects of go-to-market (GTM) engagements like live streams, roadshows, workshops, webinars, demonstrations of offerings and solutions, industry and partner events, and sales enablement and training
  • Cooperate with sales teams, as necessary, in high-touch accounts worldwide through close engagement with field sales and services
  • Engage with field and product management teams to understand and communicate customer requirements, expectations, and pain points to engineering product teams, including assisting with feature prioritization and gap analysis
  • Conduct research to inform awareness of customer needs and competitive offerings
  • Create technical marketing collateral, both internal and external, alongside product marketing teams, including technical presentations, whitepapers, case studies, blogs, web, social media, and more
  • Create and carry out solutions demonstrations for external use with trade shows, customers, and more
  • Work with alliance and ecosystem partners through the alliance teams to develop joint value propositions
  • Create other technical marketing proof points while working with other teams that are specific to performance benchmarks, reference architectures, etc.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or software engineering
  • Experience with web application development and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) practices in any language like Java, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, etc.
  • Understanding of and some experience with open source projects
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English; presentation skills
  • Solid skills in deciphering and understanding technical requirements and use cases
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and meritocratic environment with a distributed remote and global workforce
  • Motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities while working in a highly complex environment
