    Job summary

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Manager of channel and mid-market sales to join us in Puteaux, France. In this role, you will lead a team of account managers and channel managers to cover the mid-market segment to generate sales across the entire software and services portfolio in conjunction with our partners. You’ll develop the channel and alliances partners to generate new business. As a Senior Manager, you'll build, develop, and manage the channel and mid-market strategies for these fast-growing and strategic segments and routes to market.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Lead the Mid-Market Sales and Channel team to exceed financial and customer goals, promote joint selling strategies, and coordinate team selling efforts to close business on a quarterly and annual basis with partners
    • Develop and deliver the channel growth strategy for partner recruitment, enablement, and sales
    • Create, support, track, and measure all sales initiatives with partners and the Channel team
    • Serve as a strategic team leader in a sales support role to help your team succeed
    • Establish an effective sales management process for your team, including elements of the processes like visit planning, implementation, performance assessment, follow-up, and closing
    • Identify, attract, develop, and retain talented people and build a positive team culture, including rewards and recognition that aligns individual focus with our company goals
    • Gain references based on customer satisfaction in all assigned accounts and report on projected revenue and team results
    • Engage executive leadership in creative solutions

    Required skills

    • Prior sales management experience in enterprise and mid-market software with an understanding of the direct and indirect sales cycles
    • Demonstrated ability to transform a transactional sales model into a value-added sales model; record of achieving sales goals and coaching sales and partner teams
    • Experience with account and channel management
    • Demonstrated success implementing short-term and long-term focused strategies to grow revenue within a region
    • Record of ownership of personal and team revenue targets, forecasting revenue accurately, and identifying critical sales pipeline indicators
    • Solid organizational and communication skills
