The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Consultant to join us in Seoul, South Korea. In this role, you will work directly with Red Hat’s customers and partners to implement platform and cloud solutions using Red Hat’s open source software. You'll work on-site with customers to analyze, design, architect, develop, test, and deploy solutions on the basis of customer business requirements. The length of engagements can range from a single week to multiple years, and every engagement will be assigned a delivery manager that you’ll work with to deliver success to customers. As a Senior Consultant, you will gain an understanding of customer infrastructures with a particular focus on Red Hat Ceph Storage and Red Hat Gluster Storage, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and customer business needs. You’ll make recommendations appropriate to customer environments.

• Architect, design, routinely assess, and implement Red Hat's core offerings, including Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ceph Storage and Red Hat Gluster Storage, high performance computing, and high availability
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs and requirements
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
• Assist customers in designing, developing, and managing their system provisioning strategies
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner
• Integrate third-party applications to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including monitoring and system performance tools, as well as backup and restore agents
• Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals
• Deliver platform and cloud discovery, analysis, and technical design workshops for teams of technical and non-technical backgrounds, focused on successful customer outcomes with the latest Red Hat’s solutions
• Carry an ownership of Red Hat Solution Management Services (SMS) and seamlessly assist the contracted customers by leading platform consultants

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system security, deployment, and administration
• Advanced knowledge of and experience with Linux kernel internals, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds
• Storage knowledge and experience, especially in the software-defined storage area
• Highly motivated with the ability to learn on your own and quickly pick up new technologies and best practices
• Ability to communicate with in a professional manner, give presentations, and work one-on-one with customers
• Experienced with Red Hat OpenStack Platform or Red Hat Ansible Automation solutions and their actual implementation
• Experience with Red Hat Virtualization or other market-leading virtualization solutions
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or plans to get certified
• Good understanding of public cloud functionality regarding software like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure
• Willingness to travel to customer locations throughout South Korea
• Good written and verbal communications skills in English
