    Job summary

    Come work for the world's leading provider of open source software solutions. The Red Hat Technical Training team in South Korea is looking for a Learning and Development Instructor to support our training deliveries. In this role, you will deliver training programs and certifications to our customers and partners. As Learning and Development Instructor you will also assess learning needs and create learning plans for customer teams. Partner instructors will depend on your guidance and support. You will need to have excellent communication skills and experience in Red Hat’s technical trainings. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Facilitate Red Hat’s training classes and certification exams
    • Guide discussions with customers to scope training needs
    • Coordinate with the Consulting team for consulting engagements
    • Assist the Training Services Sales team in sales initiatives to grow the training business
    • Serve as a technical account manager for a dedicated set of training partners; help them train instructors and assist them as they grow their business
    • Work with the Global Certification and Curriculum team to design and test new courses and certifications
    • Build and deliver customized courses
    • Participate in internal projects and pilots as needed to ensure offerings are effective prior to wide-scale general availability

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of industry experience with at least 3+ years of prior instruction experience
    • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or the ability to pursue certification within 30 days of being hired, additional certifications are a plus
    • Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), automation technology, etc.
    • Solid background in Linux or Unix system administration and deployment
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization
    • Exceptional course facilitation and management skills
    • Willingness to travel up to 75%
    • Initiative and team-oriented with a positive attitude and enthusiasm
    • Demonstrated ability to work both on your own and as a member of a team

    The following are considered a plus:


    • Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), or additional certifications toward higher RHCE levels especially on Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Ansible Automation
    • Experience with application development or application modernization
    • Experience with virtual training facilitation
