    Job summary

    Lead, grow, and mature our technical consulting, architecture, and project management services business across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and in 3 years double our business. The Red Hat Global Professional Services team in APAC and Japan is looking for a Consulting Director to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will promote and guide sales alignment and integration, the services business model, offerings, go-to-market, and operations and you'll provide leadership and organizational management. You'll work closely with the Red Hat Sales team across APAC to promote sales and business development for the Consulting Services team across the region. As a Consulting Director, you will guide your regional leaders in shaping deals and preparing or reviewing project proposals, including business and technical requirements, delivery schedules, and delivery times, as well as closing the business. You'll also champion a value and solutions selling approach through leading by example. This role can be based outside of Singapore.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Manage and guide the full APAC Consulting business, Sales, and Delivery teams and partners like payment service providers (PSPs) and global system integrators (GSIs), including profit and loss (P&L), bookings, revenue, and profit
    • Oversee and implement systems, policies, and processes in APAC to ensure standardization, optimization, and legal and fiduciary compliance
    • Guide marketing and business development initiatives with local, regional, and worldwide marketing teams in order to meet growth territory targets
    • Work with the APAC general managers and sales leaders to promote the services business in large and complex enterprise accounts in APAC
    • Adopt and implement global and APAC strategies and offerings
    • Plan, lead, and project-manage the deployment of all consulting engagements to promote the adoption of Red Hat's software solutions and customer value and delight metrics like Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSAT), Overall Satisfaction (OSAT), and Net Promoter Score (NPS); this may also involve leading strategic and large engagement recoveries
    • Represent the APAC business and collaborate with APAC-wide and global teams including verticals like telco and financial services industry (FSI), etc., and also emerging offerings (sales conversations and solutions journeys)
    • Foster solid connections with C-level executives and one level below for the strategic customers across APAC
    • Guide, mentor, and mature the APAC consulting leaders and teams to scale the business over the next 3-5 years
    • Mature and guide people strategies to create solid consultative culture, labor pyramid, and growth and succession for all levels

    Required skills

    • Record of cross-functional leadership
    • Solid record of achievement and developing a business team or organization across APAC
    • 18+ years of experience in the professional services industry within IT
    • 10+ years of experience with the sales, people, organizational, or consulting management in the APAC region
    • Experience managing and operating within a matrixed environment
    • Excellent communication, persuasion, and collaboration skills at a junior and senior level, as well as leadership skills
    • Comfortable leading and conducting presentations, whether customer-facing, for general public consumption, or for internal audiences
    • Effective communication skills while maintaining Red Hat's messaging and perspective
    • Solid understanding of the software business professional services model
    • Ability to operate in a rapid growth environment
    • Proven record of managing P&L of at least $75M bookings
    • Proven record of inspiring and growing a successful project-based consulting business
    • Proven record of customer, consultative, and escalation management skills
    • Technical background as an IT professional to relate and earn credibility with the Consulting team; expertise in middleware, cloud, and infrastructure areas are a big plus
    • Business development and go-to-market experience
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and a fast-moving and growing business environment
