    Job summary

    Join our Red Hat Training team and serve as a Level 3 support associate to our customer, administrator, and instructor communities for training platforms in live training sessions and online training. The Red Hat Training team is looking for a Systems Support Administrator to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will provide operations support for our large variety of training platforms. As you will troubleshoot problems, determine areas for improvement, and implement new and innovative projects, you’ll need to be able to work on your own and take initiative. As a Systems Support Administrator, you’ll also need to have the ability to work well across a diverse group of teams. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to learn a variety of new skills and systems used within Red Hat Training.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Serve as a Level 3 associate for Customer Support team’s escalations
    • Provide Level 3 support for the Virtual Training support teams
    • Produce standard operating procedure documentation for Level 1 and Level 2 support team members
    • Perform testing and feedback for updates through the software life cycle of our online learning platform
    • Deploy course software, lab environments, and video assets throughout the environments of various offerings
    • Manage the monitoring architecture Zabbix, including responding to alerts, building checks, and adjusting monitored systems and checks based on root cause analyses of issues
    • Provide support to content developers as needed

    Required skills

    • Familiarity with production environment support and operations
    • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Server operation and administration
    • Experience with Bash scripting
    • Ability to work as part of a team in an ever-changing environment
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills

     

    The following skills are considered a plus:

     

    • Experience with Python scripting
    • Ability to prioritize work tasks and address the most critical issues first
    • Experience with agile development principles and practices
    • Ability to review code or documentation to determine steps required to complete a task
    • Experience with web application hosting and support
