    Job summary

    To meet the growing demand for Red Hat Training and Certification in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), the Red Hat Global Learning Services (GLS) team is looking for a Business Development Executive with passion for learning and ability to communicate highly technical concepts to audiences at different stages in the Red Hat journey to join us in Canberra, Australia. In this role, your work will be very visible and have significant customer impact. You’ll collaborate closely with our customers to craft training programs that will promote the adoption and usage of Red Hat’s offerings. You will help customers understand their training requirements, develop detailed training proposals, conduct thorough training needs analysis, and manage the flawless realization of training plans. You’ll be fully engaged in all phases of the education business cycle, including identification, qualification, and recommendation of education solutions for customers and business partners. As a Business Development Executive, you will also work with the Delivery and Operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of trainings, as well as be responsible for the overall customer satisfaction.     Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop training leads and manage to closure
    • Work closely with the account and partner teams to provide training proposals for customers and partners
    • Become proficient in Red Hat Training legal terms and conditions in order to create training statement of work (SOW) documents, training quotes, and service implementation plans (SIPs)
    • Work closely with customers to determine training requirements and build detailed training proposals and plans to accelerate the adoption of Red Hat’s offerings and technologies
    • Maintain solid relationships with customers to ensure flawless realization of training plans
    • Conduct training needs assessments with key customers
    • Evangelize Red Hat Training and Certification at company and industry events throughout the nation's capital and across the country
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts and business reviews to the Learning Services management

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of business development, technical, and presales experience, preferably in the IT industry
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience conducting training needs assessments and developing training plans
    • Experience engaging with and presenting to senior executives (C-level) on the value of training and certification
    • Solid commercial experience and business insight
    • Ability to work in a high-growth market with frequent change and ambiguity
    • Technical background in computer science
    • Knowledge of IT training and digital learning platforms is a big plus
    • Experience working with Marketing, operations, and training delivery teams is a plus
