    Job summary

    The Red Hat Finance team is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Accounting team in Cork, Ireland. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for supporting the rollout and post-implementation of Concur, payables, expense and credit card process exception management, administration of the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Concur and credit card programs, resolving supplier and internal customer escalations, and coordination with the Global Business Delivery team and process owners. You’ll also ensure that responsibilities are carried out in accordance with Red Hat’s procedures and SOX compliance standards. As a Business Analyst, you will have the benefits of working within a well-supported and structured team and will report to the General Ledger Accounting Manager.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Support the EMEA implementation of Concur including testing, management of local requirements, and working with the business to ensure successful rollout
    • Be responsible for the Credit Card Program in EMEA
    • Perform exception management related to supplier invoice queries and requests
    • Respond to queries on invoices and expenses from internal approvers
    • Work with the General Ledger team to support bank reconciliations
    • Assist with expense accrual calculations and reconciliations
    • Coordinate and communicate closely with the Global Process Owner and the P2P team
    • Monitor and ensure process adherence and KPI management
    • Produce ad hoc reports for management on request
    • Perform ad hoc tasks, including analysis and additional process improvement projects within the accounting function

    Required skills

    • Qualified accountant with the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Association of Certified Accountants (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualifications
    • 3+ years of post-qualification experience in a multinational environment
    • Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system; Oracle is a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively document, write, present, and engage associates from different management levels, individual contributors, and stakeholders across all geographical areas
    • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
    • Ability to plan, organize, and carry out tasks
    • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in performing tasks
    • Experience ensuring compliance with company policies
    • Ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-driven, challenging environment
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is a plus
    • Experience within an IT sector is a plus
