    Job summary

    The Red Hat Global Business Delivery team is looking for an experienced Manager to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will work as part of the Sales Reporting and Analysis team, promoting operational improvement by focusing on clarifying and refining our master data management system. You’ll dedicate 70% of your time to team management and 30% to operational work for reports, quarterly business review (QBR) creation, and projects. You'll oversee all refinement and maintenance to ensure that our practices are accurate and that they support our business needs. As a Manager, you’ll need to have excellent analytical skills, as you will be resolving all data quality deficiencies and improving data entry practices, as well as creating process design strategies. You’ll need to be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and be committed to contributing to Red Hat's operational success.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Manage a Sales Reporting and Analytics team along with multiple associate managers
    • Work with managers and executives to compile detailed booking forecasts, sales metrics, and QBRs decks
    • Take initiative in working with Operations, Finance, and IT teams to guide projects that develop repeatable and scalable processes and system logic for sales reporting
    • Compile, analyze, and interpret sales bookings data across all channels
    • Create business plans and dashboards, supporting process mapping and testing for a new implementation of Oracle
    • Participate in various structured and ad hoc sales reporting, planning, and analytics projects
    • Create spreadsheet models to support data-driven decision making

    Required skills

    • MBA or graduate-level management or economics degree with 10+ years of experience
    • Experience working as a people manager preferably in Sales Reporting and Analytics
    • 5+ years of experience of managing a team size of 10+ team members
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or statistics; minor in economics or statistics
    • Good understanding of reporting and dashboarding in industry-standard dashboard tools
    • Solid spreadsheet skills with proven experience managing large datasets, conducting time series analysis, and building financial models with sensitivity analysis
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
    • Experience working for or working with sales, business consulting, or marketing organization; internships are acceptable
    • Previous experience in programming, scripting, or writing database SQL code
    • Experience using at least one data mining tool like SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), SAS, or SPSS
    • Ability to take complex business logic and translate it into functional system logic
    • Ability to communicate complex system and process issues in simple and understandable terms and to use this knowledge to deliver analysis to support strategic decisions
    • Previous experience taking economic or industry data and using it in financial models
    • Ready to consistently work extended hours during periods of high demand, including quarter and year end; this may include weekends
