    Job summary

    The Red Hat India Finance team is looking for a Financial Analyst to join us in India. In this role, you will become a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, where you will support the rapidly growing training and consultancy business in India and gradually extend to the Asia Pacific (APAC) south region. You’ll provide financial analyses to the full profit and loss (P&L) key metrics, generate management reports, analyse financial trends, and participate in any other ad hoc projects to streamline and improve processes and controls.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews in a very dynamic, high growth-oriented business function
    • Forecast revenue, expense, and headcount on a monthly and quarterly basis to provide visibility and recommendations to the business owners
    • Run, consolidate, and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports from sales process management and reporting tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC), SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), and Hyperion
    • Conduct and manage annual budgeting exercise
    • Connect with the accounting team to ensure accuracy in all analysis and reporting activities
    • Perform variance analysis, identifying trends and build, and evaluate financial model schemes and proposals
    • Focus on streamlining workflows and improving processes to provide more value-added analysis to the management
    • Work on ad hoc activities and projects based on guidance provided by the supervisor

    Required skills

    • Advanced data analytics skills (finance-focused and certified)
    • 3-5 years of working experience in an IT or information technology-enabled services (ITES) services company
    • Good understanding of accounting principles; any qualifications are a plus
    • Ability to handle and prioritize competing objectives in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines and a thought process suiting a fast-paced environment
    • Good communication skills and ability to connect with sales teams and serve as their trusted partner for their data and analysis needs
    • Motivated and focused with the ability to improve relationships, systems, and service delivery to maximize efficiency
    • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a big plus; Oracle is a plus
    • Experience working in training and consultancy business in a similar role is a big plus
