    Job summary

    The Red Hat OpenStack Networking team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us remotely in France or in other European countries like Spain, Poland, or Italy. In this role, you will work as part of a DevOps team that is working on innovative technologies for networking in hybrid cloud environments, including automation and release process improvement for a number of open source projects. You’ll interact with other continuous integration (CI) engineers, developers, and quality engineers all around the world and you’ll have a chance to contribute to relevant open source projects.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Design, deploy, and maintain the CI infrastructure and automations for the team
    • Work with other CI members within the team and within Red Hat to ensure that common tools and best practices are shared
    • Support the team in analyzing and troubleshooting complex problems by using relevant CI tools
    • Collaborate with relevant communities to ensure that CI best practices are used by all of the open source project participants

    Required skills

    • 2+ years of experience writing in Python or any object-oriented language
    • Proven experience with Linux operating system at least as a power user
    • Experience with CI and continuous delivery (CD) tools like Jenkins, Red Hat Ansible Automation, and Puppet
    • Experience working with at least one version control software tool
    • Passion for solving complex problems; ability to create or identify solutions that are well-tested and maintainable
    • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Proven ability to learn on your own and understand processes on a technical level
