    Job summary

    The Red Hat Global Services team is looking for a Head of Consulting Services to lead our rapidly growing consulting business in the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for managing our regional, in-country services delivery team. You will guide the implementation of the consulting strategy, development, and delivery of Red Hat's consulting portfolio across the EMEA region. You will report directly to the Vice President of Services in EMEA and collaborate closely with the Services Leadership team across EMEA. You'll promote top-line services revenue and profit and loss with a goal of creating trusted, solutions-oriented, global relationships with customers and partners. You will also be responsible for leading a cross-regional team of services professionals and managing all aspects of sales, business development, go-to-market strategy, and service delivery. This role can be based in any of our EMEA locations.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop and carry out an EMEA-wide services strategy to support Red Hat’s rapid growth in key areas of the emerging product solutions business, including Linux operating system, middleware, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies
    • Develop and shape a sales-oriented go-to-market strategy, including a partnership model to grow business, and establish services-lead selling practices
    • Expand, evolve, and optimize the services portfolio based on evolving customer and partner requirements, especially those connected to the cloud migration
    • Plan and facilitate an innovative strategy for Red Hat Services that aligns with regional and global goals to expand the business and meet margin targets
    • Develop and deliver on a EMEA-wide talent strategy that includes innovative and agile approaches to both recruitment and enablement
    • Lead a team of professionals in successfully selling and delivering Red Hat Services to partners and end users
    • Mentor, develop, and grow the team and its leaders to maintain a positive working environment to effectively meet team and company revenue targets and goals

     

    Required skills

    • Experience in services organization leadership in a global, matrixed software organization
    • Software services experience; understanding of services sales and operations is a plus
    • Solid understanding of how software and services are used to solve business problems in a product company and how cloud technologies are changing the IT industry
    • Ability to transform and enable services organizations and partners to move from a single-product focus to a multi-product and solutions-oriented approach
    • Ability to translate concepts, summarize and communicate complex ideas, and clearly explain business value; good sense of how customers and partners think, operate, and deliver end-user value
    • Excellent global and regional networking skills to uncover opportunities and resources that will benefit the Global and EMEA Services teams and Red Hat
    • Capacity to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment
    • Record of success in managing services delivery as a strategic component of a successful product company
    • Experience attracting and developing best-in-class talent, ideally through the development of a comprehensive, business-oriented talent strategy
    • Experience achieving and exceeding revenue and margin targets and fostering relationships with a diverse set of established and emerging customers and partners
