    Job summary

    Make an impact at the world's leading open source technology company. The Red Hat Technical Training team is looking for a Learning and Development Instructor to join us in Malaysia. In this role, you will deliver training programs and certifications to customers for our platform solutions, including cloud and storage across the South East Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong (SEATH) Region. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills in and experience with Red Hat’s technical training delivery.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Deliver Red Hat's training offerings to enterprise and retail customers
    • Facilitate Red Hat’s certification exams
    • Guide discussions with customers to scope their training needs
    • Coordinate with the Consulting team for consulting engagements
    • Assist the Training Services Sales team in sales initiatives to grow the training business
    • Participate in internal projects and pilots as needed to ensure that our offerings are effective prior to their wide-scale general availability

    Required skills

    • Solid background in Linux or UNIX system administration and deployment
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization
    • Exceptional course facilitation and management skills
    • Virtual training facilitation experience
    • Ability to work as part of a team, positive attitude, and enthusiasm
    • Fluent language skills in English; solid writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work both on your own and as a member of a collaborative team
    • Willingness to travel up to 75%
    • Experience in software development is a plus
    • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), or additional certifications toward higher RHCE levels are a plus
