    Job summary

    The Red Hat Software Engineering team is looking for an Associate Manager focused on software engineering  to join us in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will help offerings meet deadlines, improve cross-team interactions, and navigate the world of open source communities.  With a rapidly increasing number of offerings that need to be released, you’ll have to lend your skills to make sure that projects are staffed and resourced appropriately. Not only will you be meeting new people every day and be constantly supported by a closely cooperating team, you’ll play an integral part in helping the company grow.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Form solid relationships with people throughout the company to collaboratively guide positive change and improvements to our processes, tools, and solutions portfolio
    • Guide planning and coordination of the Release Engineering team to deliver high-quality results consistently and on time
    • Cultivate a customer-first culture with a focus on evangelising the team and ensuring that Release Engineering’s customers are excited to work with us and getting the service they need
    • Mentor our future leaders by giving them the opportunity to learn new business and technical skills that will ensure team success
    • Measure and optimize all aspects of the team’s internal and external interfaces in order to make targeted improvement to save time and money for the business

    Required skills

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • Past experience in a leadership position, preferably with remote or global direct reports
    • Skilled in creating, editing, and presenting written and visual content
    • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
    • Experience managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets
    • Ability to make both business and technical decisions
