    Job summary

    The Red Hat DevOps team is looking for an Associate Quality Engineer to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will focus on the testing of Red Hat’s release toolchain offerings, including unit, integration, functional, and performance testing. You’ll be involved in setting up continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) testing environments on Red Hat OpenShift, creating test plans, performing new feature investigation, designing test cases, developing automation test cases, etc. As an Associate Quality Engineer, you will work as part of a team which encourages collaboration, openness, and transparency and follows the philosophy of best ideas always winning.     Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop, maintain, and review automated test scenarios and scripts to measure and validate against requirements
    • Partner with development and senior quality engineers to create function and performance test plans and scripts based on service requirements
    • Identify complex use cases and data needs for user account and test data creation and maintenance
    • Effectively communicate testing status to stakeholders and project team members to ensure proper visibility into test efforts
    • Establish and maintain the CI and CD testing environments on the containers

    Required skills

    • Current graduate student, or 1-3 years of working experience and a major in computer science or a related field
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly
    • Scripting or programming skills in Bash, Python, Ruby or JAVA; experience with code profiling is a plus
    • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Experience with or the ability to learn container technologies is a plus
