    Job summary

    Be the catalyst who creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes working relationships with our customers. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced presales professional to join us as a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect in Milan, Italy. In this role, you will discover and analyze our customers' business and technical needs and collaborate with the sales and technical delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the best solutions from across the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Virtualization, and Hybrid Cloud Management solutions to allow their systems to run faster and more efficiently. You'll need to have excellent communication and people skills, as you'll be a crucial part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat. As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you will also need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and of thorough understanding of business processes.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the sales and technical delivery teams to bring our customers the best solutions from across Red Hat's cloud infrastructure solutions portfolio, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Automation, Red Hat CloudForms, and Red Hat Identity Management
    • Discover and analyze customer business and technical problems and suggest the appropriate Red Hat's solutions that meet their needs
    • Provide presales technical support for the development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions
    • Use your deep knowledge of our offerings to provide technical expertise to sales associates and customers through sales presentations and demonstrations of our offerings to prepare detailed proposals for our offerings
    • Develop relationships with key customers
    • Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data; run and support technical enablement events
    • Arrange and undertake speaking engagements at industry conferences, partner events, and user groups

    Required skills

    • Extensive experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent supporting enterprise accounts
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels
    • Ability to interpret customer business problems and technical issues and effectively explain how a solution will align with customer needs or requirements
    • Knowledge of cloud services, particularly Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and delivery models like private and hybrid cloud and cloud management and automation
    • Knowledge of and skills in infrastructure and cloud solutions from Red Hat, the open source community, or competitors, ideally Linux, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat Virtualization, and Red Hat Ansible Automation
    • Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures, e.g., cloud, big data, virtualization, storage, IT automation, identity management, container clustering, and high availability
    • Fluent written and verbal language skills in Italian and English
    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications are a plus
    • Willingness to travel from 25 to 50%, mainly throughout the northern region of Italy
    • Experience with financial and insurance markets is a plus
