    Job summary

    Lead and manage the Market Development team's demand generation activities within our enterprise and mid-market accounts. The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Senior Manager for Market Development team to join us in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that your team achieves their demand generation goals in your territory by uncovering, nurturing, progressing, and creating new, well-qualified sales opportunities for our entire solutions portfolio. You'll be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing the Market Development team while coaching and motivating them. You’ll also deliver regular reports to senior management on the team's activity and performance, as well as introduce new ideas to help increase lead generation, run campaigns, and improve tools and processes to ensure that your team is successful. As a Senior Manager for Market Development, you will lead in the development of a sales-oriented culture, focusing on making the Market Development team’s efforts successful. In order to accomplish this goal, you’ll need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and be a great leader.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Run cadence reviews with the Market Development representatives on your team while inspecting call quality and lead and campaign activities
    • Help progress stalled opportunities and field escalations, working both internally and externally toward a quick and fair resolution for all parties
    • Identify gaps in your team's talent and coach and train team members to eliminate these talent gaps
    • Develop career paths for your team and help them move toward their professional goals
    • Apply and track appropriate sales metrics for your team and regularly report to senior management
    • Manage complex demand generation campaign activity and track customer opportunities using company standard customer relationship management (CRM) tools
    • Continuously develop creative ways to help your team improve productivity and cooperate with various internal stakeholders to put desired changes into effect
    • Collaborate with peers from the Sales and Marketing teams to help your team run programs and campaigns to increase bookings
    • Participate in internal sales training and certification programs to maintain high knowledge and proficiency in Red Hat’s offerings and industry trends

    Required skills

    • 8+ years of inside sales or demand generation experience and leadership experience in a sales environment
    • Demonstrated success in consistently managing sales and demand generation teams to achieve goals
    • Demonstrate a consistent record of overachieving against KPIs
    • Ability to frequently interact with cross-functional teams, customers, or peer managers
    • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail
    • Good organizational skills with the ability to learn things quickly and adapt to changing situations
    • Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, understandable terms
    • Experience selling highly technical solutions and knowledge of the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing
    • Understanding of how to apply appropriate metrics and measurements in a sales environment
    • Understanding of how company's vision and mission is linked to direct application of methods and plans to accomplish the sales strategy
    • Ability to motivate, inspire, and achieve results through others; ability to coach, counsel, and develop employees
    • Demonstrated experience in problem identification and resolution for customers and employees
    • Great leadership, mentoring, and motivational skills
