    Job summary

    The Red Hat Finance team is looking for a Global Business Process and Compliance Analyst to join the Accounting team in Cork, Ireland. In this role, you will ensure that the processes are designed correctly so that they will achieve set goals. You will report directly to the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) Global Process Owner (GPO). You’ll need to have a deep passion for and experience with continuously improving processes and enabling automation to meet the needs of a growing business while optimizing productivity. You’ll also need to have a demonstrated ability to engage with key stakeholders and to guide a continuous development of our transactional teams.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Rationalize, standardize, and develop policies and processes
    • Ensure compliance with relevant business policies and controls
    • Engage with internal and external auditors of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act
    • Integrate P2P processes with upstream and downstream processes; optimize P2P end-to-end processes
    • Cooperate with others in accurately identifying the predictive in-process and output metrics and in developing executive dashboards and scorecard
    • Proficiently diagnose and identify process problems, needs, and opportunities that need to be improved
    • Define and prioritize improvements, ensuring alignment to process vision, strategy, and goals
    • Support key global projects within the process-to-pay team
    • Build sustainable organizational capability through effective training
    • Coordinate and manage work assignments; communicate and overcome barriers to deliver expected outcomes
    • Provide a model of professionalism and promote a responsive, supportive, and open environment
    • Provide functional oversight for purchase-to-pay process delivery within the global shared services center

    Required skills

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like accounting, finance, IT, or management information systems; MBA is a plus
    • Fully qualified accountant with CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification
    • 5+ years of post-qualification experience; experience with internal auditing is a plus
    • Experience with Oracle EBS, SAP Concur, Kofax, or SAP Ariba
    • Working knowledge of process automation methods and technologies
    • End-to-end system thinker, strategist, and planner
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively document, write, present, and engage associates from different management levels, individual contributors, and stakeholders across all geographical areas
    • Solid interpersonal skills; proven record of the ability to work in and with diverse teams
    • Demonstrated skills in coaching and mentoring
    • Passion for quick learning and applying of new skills and technologies
    • Understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) regulations
