The Red Hat JBoss Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for an engineer with Java and Linux experience and understanding of usual internet application layer protocols to join us as a Quality Engineer in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of quality for Red Hat JBoss Web Server, which includes several versions of Apache Tomcat, spanning from older maintenance releases all the way to the latest Apache Tomcat 9 on Java 11. You’ll design complex test scenarios and develop automated tests and testing frameworks in Java and Groovy. You’ll solve problems, perform deep root cause analysis, and provide fixes for problems found. As a Quality Engineer, you’ll need to be able to think creatively and adapt to change, as well as be willing to learn new things. We use variety of tools, so you might find yourself running Docker containers, stepping Java web applications in a debugger, or configuring Jenkins jobs.
