    Job summary

    The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join the OpenShift SDN team in Brno, Czech Republic, or join us remotely in Italy, Spain, Poland, or France. In this role, you'll become part of the SDN team building upstream Kubernetes features and network provider integrations within Red Hat OpenShift. You’ll collaborate with other engineering teams like quality engineering (QE), reliability engineering, and support teams.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Actively contribute to a high-profile open source projects including Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift
    • Serve as a point of escalation for customer and internal networking issues
    • Work on Container Network Interface (CNI) upstream
    • Implement new features for the OpenShift SDN
    • Work with the Kubernetes community on delivering upstream features
    • Collaborate with other engineering teams on integrations

    Required skills

    • Basic knowledge of working with the Go programming language
    • Demonstrable expertise in at least one language like Go, Python, C, C++, Rust, or Ruby
    • Experience troubleshooting complex issues in distributed systems
    • Deep knowledge of network diagnostic like as tcpdump
    • Experience building and deploying container-based applications
    • Previous contributions to open source projects or being an open source maintainer
    • Experience building cloud infrastructure software is a plus
