    Job summary

    Help us continue building the knowledge and developing the skills of our technical teams in the areas of presales and consulting. The Red Hat Asia Pacific (APAC) Enablement team is looking for a Senior Technical Enablement Manager to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will lead strategic planning of our internal technical team's capability development programs across APAC. You'll work with our global partner enablement teams and APAC region stakeholders to define long-term strategies and short-term activities that will support the development of presales and consulting teams. As a Senior Technical Enablement Manager, you will focus on analysis and strategic planning for internal readiness (40%), program development, management and delivery (30%), and effective communication (30%).     Primary job responsibilities

    • Perform strategic needs analysis and planning for internal technical teams’ readiness
    • Lead solutions and soft skills development planning for presales and consulting; plan mid to long-term (rolling for 2-3 years) technical, sales, and business skills development strategies that are closely aligned with APAC-wide and regional business priorities
    • Engage, persuade, and build alliances with key Red Hat’s corporate stakeholders involved in technical and sales skills development to define needs and deliver appropriate plans
    • Establish clearly defined technical and business skills capability metrics and targets to ensure accountability
    • Focus on program development, management, and delivery
    • Develop and carry out short-term, fiscal year-bound plans outlining specific activities, investments, and targets aimed at improving capability and productivity across target roles
    • Share your expertise and vision through non-traditional media like mobile and social learning, bite-sized learning, and remote learning
    • Focus on the cost efficiency of content creation by facilitating partnerships with stakeholders in the content creation phase
    • Design, deliver, and manage regional programs to enable technical and sales skills development with target roles
    • Work with presales and services managers or other relevant internal communities to ensure that target associates are receiving the right training at the right time
    • Engage in impactful, persuasive, effective communication
    • Provide leadership and guidance to promote integration, collaboration, and alignment between global partner sales, presales, and consulting services teams; facilitate excellent community development

    Required skills

    • Experience guiding programs and project management for enablement initiatives in the region, ideally for a software, hardware, or system integrators (SIs)
    • Advanced understanding of the technical presales and consulting ecosystem including the diverse enablement needs of various functions like sales, presales, and delivery
    • Solid personal interest in open source technologies, coupled with technical experience and expertise in the enterprise area
    • Proven ability to work on your own, navigate a complex environment, and carry out plans flawlessly in a fast-paced environment
    • Good problem-solving skills and positive attitude
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision
    • Solid attention to detail; ability to motivate yourself and others to meet deadlines through persuasion without having to use your authority
    • Excellent time and workload management skills; ability to prioritize
    • Ability to deliver powerful messages in a professional work environment to all levels of Red Hat’s associates
    • Willingness to reside in Singapore with up to 10% of regional or international travel; ability to attend morning and night conference meetings when needed
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Japanese are a plus
    • High level of cultural awareness; experience in APAC or other multicultural region is a plus
