    Job summary

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an application development and middleware-focused Senior Presales Solutions Architect to join us in Paris, France. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for Red Hat's solutions to help our customers transform their IT and modernize their applications. You’ll focus on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) tools like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, next generation applications runtimes and architecture, and microservices and agile integration. You will be at the core of our open hybrid cloud strategy. You'll create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with our customers. You’ll also discover and analyze customer business and technical needs and collaborate with the Sales and Technical Delivery teams and account solutions architects to help them invest wisely in the best solutions from across Red Hat’s solutions portfolio. As a Senior Presales Solutions Architect, you will be a crucial part of the first experience our customers have with Red Hat.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Perform detailed architecture pitches and reviews
    • Demonstrate and carry out complex proofs of concepts
    • Create strategies to counter competitive threats and resolve issues
    • Become a domain subject matter expert; develop relationships with key customers
    • Run and support technical enablement events
    • Serve as a speaker at industry conferences, partner events, public marketing events, and webinars
    • Collect, prioritize, and build a case based on multiple accounts; show trends to identify gaps and untapped opportunities in our offerings and solutions and map future market opportunities
    • Create whitepapers and blog posts and build analyst relationships

    Required skills

    • Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills
    • Experience as a sales engineer, IT architect, or as an equivalent role dealing with enterprise accounts
    • Ability to interpret customer business and technical needs and provide adapted solutions
    • Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures
    • Experience working with system integrators (SIs)
    • Solid skills and experience with cloud paradigms, concepts, and technologies
    • Knowledge of containers and middleware, especially around integration, enterprise service buses (ESBs), and API management
    • Knowledge of applications development and delivery cycle
    • Knowledge of open source Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) is a plus
