    Job summary

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Telco Solutions Architect for the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region to join us in the U.K. In this role, you will work to support the telco sales teams to promote our business with relco and network functions virtualization (NFV) infrastructure by engaging, meeting, and demonstrating Red Hat’s solutions to telco customers. You’ll collaborate with the local telco business development account managers and solutions and domain architects to define plans, tactics, and strategies to support Red Hat’s solutions applied to telco and NFV. As a Senior Telco Solutions Architect, you'll support sales teams in developing opportunities for telco and NFV, including delivering blueprints, requests for information (RFI) and requests for proposal (RFP) responses, proofs of concepts, and project scoping and presenting project deliveries.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Enable and support our EMEA presales and architect team partners on telco technologies and concepts to develop and deliver the Red Hat message and value proposition
    • Partner with local teams in EMEA to address telco customers and partners and their technical network teams; work with the sales and presales teams to gain market share
    • Position Red Hat as a key strategic vendor for telco and NFV infrastructures like independent software vendors (ISV), network equipment providers (NEP), telco, cloud providers, system integrators (SIs), and hardware vendors
    • Guide or contribute to RFP and RFI responses and projects
    • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concepts for Red Hat’s solutions
    • Use and manage Red Hat EMEA telco labs
    • Communicate and partner with Red Hat’s Products and Technology (PnT) team managers, marketing managers, and engineers, as well as the global Corporate Telco team
    • Prepare detailed specifications and implement customer installation plans for our offerings
    • Propose solutions based on customer requirements and deliver solid business cases
    • Design architectures delivering value and present the application and ROI of these technologies

    Required skills

    • Experience working in or with the telco industry, including NEPs and operators
    • Excellent industry and market insight; good understanding of current, new, and future technologies
    • Demonstrated experience promoting and implementing technology and architecture for telco infrastructures
    • Excellent knowledge of IT technologies used for NFV like VMware, KVM, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or Linux
    • Understanding of the language used in the telco industry
    • Solid relationships and trusted reputation in the telco market
