    Job summary

    The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for an Associate Manager to join us in Shanghai, China. In this role, you will manage accounts as directed by the consulting director to promote business development and revenue generation. You’ll coordinate sales efforts with technical resources, inside and outside sales teams, and the consulting director, while building relationships with senior managers within client organizations. You'll also gain an understanding of the customers' technology environment and available Red Hat and third-party solutions that can be applied to resolve their problems. We’ll expect you to communicate regularly with consulting management regarding business opportunities, offering development, and customer feedback.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Control and ensure compliance with the financial indicators of the practice of consulting like booking, revenue, and margin
    • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of our portfolio and support our customers by translating the capabilities of Red Hat offerings into deployed solutions
    • Assist the Sales team to articulate and propose the best suitable project strategy for our customer to achieve our customer business requirements
    • Select, recruit, develop, and evaluate personnel
    • Establish communication and successful relationships with customer high level management (CIO, CTO, etc.)
    • Work with the Marketing teams and product managers to provide feedback on Red Hat solutions and technologies

    Required skills

    • Demonstrated success in a technical post-sales role
    • Experience as a manager of teams of consultants and architects
    • Demonstrated track record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organizations
    • Excellent customer business skills
    • Solid leadership and management skills in motivating a team, recruiting, and developing team members
    • Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills
    • Bachelor's degree or higher
    • Extensive technical background in at least one of Red Hat's portfolio technologies
    • Great communication skills and business insight, with the ability to maintain a professional attitude
