    Job summary

    The Red Hat Training Online Platforms team is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will help create the next generation of cloud-delivered Red Hat training platforms. You'll need to have solid front-end and UI experience using JavaScript and related tools. As a Full Stack Developer, you will also need a good understanding of how to design and code applications to maximize the user experience.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Participate the design of Red Hat’s global, cloud-based training delivery architecture, including HTML5-based content, eBooks, HD videos, and practical labs
    • Facilitate the ongoing integration and automation of numerous systems to enhance the student experience
    • Design and enhance the front-end UI through which students access training
    • Capture business-driven feature requests and convert them into actionable user stories to achieve organizational goals
    • Collaborate with the Red Hat Learning Management System (LMS) Technical team to deliver an integrated and customer focused learning experience
    • Scale and optimize the platform by implementing solutions to add resiliency, discourage intellectual property abuse, improve reporting, and optimize performance
    • Collaborate with content authors to optimize the development process to apply CI and CD principles to course publishing

    Required skills

    • 3-5 years of experience programming in JavaScript
    • 2+ years of experience programming in HTML5
    • 1+ years of experience programming in Python
    • Demonstrated ability to create robust, elegant web applications from visual concepts, wireframes, and interactive product design session
    • Solid understanding of JavaScript, including latest ECMAScript specification
    • Experienced in object-oriented programming (OOP) practices
    • Experience with collaborative open source development using tools like Git, SASS, and webpack
    • Familiarity programming in a Linux environment

    The following are considered a plus:

    • Experience developing single-page apps (SPAs)
    • Experience with responsive web design and development
    • Experience with design tools like Sketch and UX rapid prototyping tools
    • Experience developing in React and with RESTful API’s
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related field
    • Experience working with learning management systems, SCORM, and Tin Can
    • Data management experience like visualizing reporting data
    • Experience with Agile development and open source projects
