    Job summary

    The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will support the reporting, visualization, and data infrastructure of the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Marketing team. You’ll connect business objectives with measurable outcomes, deliver actionable recommendations based on data, and ensure best practices in campaign planning, lead generation, segmentation, and data management. You’ll query and manage relational databases using SQL, as well as create and automate reporting for regional campaigns. As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will be expected to stay up to date on industry and technology trends, write detailed technical documentation, troubleshoot issues, and help continuously enhance our marketing infrastructure. You’ll work in a fast‐paced environment, managing multiple projects at once, which will involve stakeholders from across Red Hat.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Consult with stakeholders to answer key business questions through the delivery of actionable ad hoc analysis
    • Advise stakeholders on how to respond to insights and observations
    • Develop and maintain accurate, visually engaging, and highly actionable reports and dashboards
    • Manage relational databases using SQL
    • Support business analysts by sourcing raw data for manipulation, technical reporting, and data visualization
    • Monitor for data quality within the marketing database, troubleshoot data anomalies, and escalate data issues to be resolved
    • Contribute to detailed technical documentation, including user stories, data‐flow diagrams, entity‐relationship diagrams, and blog posts
    • Create, present, and publish presentations for key stakeholders describing observations and insights drawn from data

    Required skills

    • Expertise in using or developing statistical models to explore data and expose insights
    • Solid technical reporting skills and insight
    • Ability to recognize discrepancies across data sets; experience building and automating reports
    • Experience using business intelligence (BI) frameworks, e.g., SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Qlik Sense, SPSS, or R, and data visualization, e.g, SAS VA, Tableau, etc.
    • Familiar with marketing automation systems like Eloqua and customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other related technologies
    • 2-3 years of work experience and bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related field; master's degree in a related field is a plus
    • SQL proficiency
    • Solid analytical skills (including mastery of Microsoft Excel)
    • Great problem-solving skills with the ability to learn on your own and work in an ambiguous environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a geographically distributed team and stakeholders network
