    Job summary

    The Red Hat Finance team is looking for a Financial Analyst to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you’ll support the Channel Sales management, based on deep understanding of business dynamics and route-to-market structure. You will provide channel forecasting and fiscal year planning support, as well as performance tracking, reporting and related analysis. Based on your data and support, the team will perform quarterly business reviews and quota settings and validation. You will be involved in Channel-related projects and business process improvement. As a Financial Analyst, you will often interact with other Global and Asia Pacific (APAC) organizations including Finance and Operations.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Support weekly forecasting process of Channel business (Distribution, OEM, Cloud service provider and SI) to ensure forecasting accuracy and guide business growth
    • Design and run analysis to identify business issues and provide insight to corrective action
    • Own responsibility of fiscal year planning of each Channel, collaborating with internal stakeholders including sales leaders and team members, both Japan and APAC
    • Support Channel sales management on creating presentation on management review
    • Manage sales quota setting process for Channel sales; validate actuals and attainment and run analysis to help sales management improve performance as needed
    • Work closely with Finance and Operations counterparts in APAC
    • Participate in other tasks, projects, initiatives as requested by manager and company
