    Job summary

    Develop and grow the Red Hat business. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join us in Stockholm, Sweden. In this role, you will uncover new opportunities to sell the full portfolio of Red Hat’s solutions, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Middleware, Red Hat’s consulting service, and our cloud solutions. You’ll work closely with Red Hat’s partners to develop the business across the region.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities in your territory
    • Focus on generating leads and searching for potential customers
    • Map the sales approach to specific customer needs
    • Answer sales queries and process leads in accordance with Red Hat's service-level agreements (SLAs)
    • Meet and exceed the assigned sales quota, grow existing customer relationships, and acquire new businesses; host customer or partner meetings
    • Engage with partners, end users, and distribution on a daily basis to develop and close both new and existing opportunities   
    • Manage forecasts, record sales activities, and track customer data using customer relationship management (CRM) tools
    • Send proposals and quotes of specific solutions to gain new customers and upsell and cross-sell into existing accounts
    • Maintain knowledge of the industry and of the Red Hat's competitive position within it
    • Follow administrative procedures to ensure that renewal targets are met or exceeded

    Required skills

    • Good sales record with 3-6 years of experience
    • Solid understanding of the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing
    • Experience selling to enterprises, especially large government, financial services, and manufacturing accounts
    • Knowledge of and experience working with large system integrators (SIs) and solutions providers in the region
    • Experience in a similar technology or software sales position, e.g., outside, inside, phone, or channel sales
    • Demonstrated record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
    • Motivated and focused on delivering results and services; positive outlook
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; any other local language is a plus
    • Ability to build long-term relationships with customers through trust and credibility
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Comfortable with cold calling and focusing on generating leads
    • Experience using CRM systems like Salesforce.com (SFDC)
    • Experience in the IT sector is a plus
