    Become one of the professionals selected for our Incubation Program, who will be trained in the U.S. and then participate in projects throughout Latin America to enable the local Emerging Technology Practice. The Red Hat Ansible Consulting team is looking for a Telco Networking NFV Architect. Join the Red Hat Incubation program to enable the Emerging Technology Practice. The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an Architect for the Telco, Networking, and network function virtualization (NFV) industry to join us in Mexico City. For this purpose, you will be trained in the US and then participate in projects throughout Latin America (LATAM). You will passionately guide the adoption of Red Hat's solution in our key Telco service provider (SP) customers, network equipment providers (NEP), and key system integrator (SI) partners. Through a series of interactions both in-person and remote, you will win the trust and confidence of their engineering, development, and operations teams by aligning their requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of the solution. You should have a thorough working knowledge and practical experience with OpenStack-based cloud infrastructures to support applications providing virtualized network functions (VNF) to the Telco industry. We’ll expect you to bring a wealth of industry experience and domain expertise to play a leading role in the design and project delivery of these business critical solutions, for which you will need a solid working knowledge of Agile project methodologies, as well as DevOps models and technologies. As a Telco Networking NFV Architect, you’ll play a critical role in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat's product business units, product engineering, support, consulting, and sales to meet the needs of these demanding customers. You will act as a customer advocate with these organizations to architect the right solutions and to ensure that those solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way. Prefered location is Mexico City, however candidates from other cities will also be taken into consideration.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Win the confidence of our prospective customers through the successful delivery of discovery, analysis, and design workshops that shape and influence the customer's use cases and architecture design decisions to align with the Red Hat solution
    • Design and scope delivery projects as well as lead consulting teams through successful customer pilot and production deployments
    • Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service, and support our NFV solutions at scale
    • Work closely with product business units, product engineering, consulting, support, and sales to ensure a premium customer experience with Red Hat's solutions
    • Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat's services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk
    • Demonstrate thought leadership in the Telco community by producing outstanding white papers, webinars, etc. and speaking at industry leading conferences

    Required skills

    • Great written and verbal English language skills, not just at a technical level
    • Willingness to travel frequently to client locations internationally as in the United States
    • Degree in electrical, telecommunications, or other network-related engineering, or equivalent industry certification (CCNP, JCNP, etc.)
    • Knowledge of one or more communication service provider markets
    • Specific knowledge in NFV or SDN area (benefits, technologies, key vendors, use cases)
    • Understanding of advanced networking concepts (VLANs, OpenVPN, iptables, dnsmasq, tunneling, overlay networking, OSI layer 4-7 services, topology discovery, path computation)
    • Familiarity with technologies like Open VSwitch, OpenFlow, OpenStack, Amazon Web Services (AWS), etc.
    • Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, 802.1Q, GRE, VXLAN, L2VPN, MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, etc.)
    • Specific knowledge in Mobile (4G, 3G, 2G) and Fixed networks (network architectures, service models, service provisioning)
    • Demonstrated knowledge of major industry standards, including TMF, TNM, ETSI, ITU, 3GPP, ONF, ONRF, etc.
    • Deep understanding of ETSI NFV architecture and the Telco main use-cases (vCPE, vEPC, vCDN, vIMS, vRAN, etc.)
    • Deep knowledge of Telco technologies, industry trends (network architectures, technologies, services) used in wireline, wireless, cable operators
    • Solid knowledge of Telco business processes related to BSS and OSS operations (eTOM, FrameworX, ITIL)
    • Background in consultative customer engagements with either a major SI, NEP, or a Telco SP
    • Demonstrated track record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior Telco IT and business executives
    • Broad and deep technical experience with virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g. OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, Puppet, Ruby, Python etc.)
    • Solid understanding and participation in OPNFV
    • Willingness to collaborate with the OpenStack communities (Telco Working Group, Operators, Neutron, Tacker)
    • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms
    • Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services.
    • Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers
    • Ability to study and quickly learn and put into practice new topics
    • Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation
    • Portuguese is a plus
