    Job summary

    The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Business Development and Demand Generation Specialist to join us in Stockholm, Sweden. In this role, you will identify sales opportunities within Red Hat's emerging technologies across key industry trends like cloud, storage, middleware, and mobile. You'll use a consultative sales approach to qualify sales-ready opportunities, working closely with sales specialists and account managers. We'll need you to understand complex business problems and industry trends and use this information to profile and tailor Red Hat's value proposition when engaging with end users. As a Business Development and Demand Generation Specialist, you will collaborate with stakeholders from across Red Hat, including Marketing, Sales, and partner teams. The role will be based in Farnborough, UK for the first 12 months of intense learning and onboarding. After that’s finished, there will be an option to relocate back to Sweden.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Identify new sales opportunities across predefined solutions areas within the Red Hat portfolio
    • Look for potential customers through a variety of techniques, including social media and other tools, to seek out new business opportunities
    • Identify and align Red Hat solutions to meet customer needs or requirements
    • Ensure that outbound activity is in line with set targets and objectives
    • Use concise messaging to target a variety of industry verticals and contacts
    • Adjust activity and behavior based on pipeline coverage
    • Ensure that customer relationship management (CRM) systems are maintained and updated
    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry and Red Hat's competitive position
    • Support team members and other associates
    • Represent Red Hat to the customer and the customer to Red Hat in all sales-related matters

    Required skills

    • Detailed knowledge of the sales cycle within an IT organization
    • Knowledge of consultative sales techniques like solutions selling
    • 1-2 year(s) of internal account management or business development experience
    • Excellent language skills in Swedish
    • Previous experience managing outbound activities
    • Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team
    • Comfortable presenting thoughts, ideas, and successes to the business
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in required languages
    • Willingness and motivation to learn and progress in an innovative technology company
    • Bachelor's degree or relevant technical degree is a plus
    • Prior experience with Salesforce.com is an advantage
