    Job summary

    The Red Hat Product Security team is looking for a talented Senior Security Engineer to join us in Australia. In this role, you will help secure the exciting emerging frontier of containers. You’ll analyze incoming security vulnerabilities for their applicability to containers and foster the process of addressing them. You’ll help facilitate this by contributing to tools and processes that manifest, track, and analyze container content. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will work with diverse teams throughout Red Hat as containers are a cross-cutting distribution and deployment technology. This position is available to work remotely in any city in the world.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Analyze flaws for applicability to containers
    • Perform various security forensic tasks like running container scans
    • Help plan and collaborate on engineering response
    • Work with teams throughout Red Hat to ensure timely and thorough security responses

    Required skills

    • Fundamental understanding of container technology and the underlying operating system
    • Understanding of Kubernetes or OpenShift by Red Hat and related orchestration technology and their related architectures and risk profiles
    • Fundamental security assessment and response experience
    • Good understanding of services as a deployment paradigm and source of risk
    • Good relationship and communication skills
    • Solid grasp of software engineering principles and processes at scale
    • Scripting and programming skills
