    Job summary

    Promote sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and create strategic plans for customers and partners in the assigned territory. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Public Sector Sales Account Manager to join us in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you will guide sales activities across a set of public sector accounts and build and maintain relationships with assigned organizations. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills because you will regularly call customer and partner executives within your accounts. As a Public Sector Sales Account Manager, you will also need to understand executives' problems to make call scenarios, define them, and explain how Red Hat’s solutions can solve them.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Define and guide account and partners strategies to address market needs and generate growth
    • Coordinate team selling efforts with partners and customers to close business on a quarterly and annual basis
    • Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales, and identify new business opportunities Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals
    • Develop a positive working relationship with partners to build the business
    • Communicate up-to-date information about new offerings and enhancements to partners and existing and prospective customers
    • Work with partners to develop sale proposals, quotations, and pricing
    • Achieve quick wins through partners on specific Red Hat’s solutions within the assigned territory
    • Maintain and develop new relationships within the assigned territory

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of field sales experience in the public sector; record of success and growth
    • Proven record of accessing accounts, reaching decision-makers, and closing business
    • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
    • Executive relationships with key partners in the public sector to guide partnership discussions
    • Proven success in implementing strategies with and through partners, preferably in a similar sales territory
    • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Solid experience in solutions selling and channel sales in a rapidly evolving technology domain
