    Job summary

    Red Hat is looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager based in Singapore to expand the Asia Pacific (APAC) Technology Office. In this role, your goal will be to make the storage business and Sales team at Red Hat as successful as possible while reporting to the Head of Asia Pacific Technology Office (AOT) with a matrix line to Storage Business Unit. You’ll play a strategic role in building awareness within the Sales team, and be responsible for increasing pipeline and revenue for the Storage business in APAC. Software Defined Storage is an emerging technology at Red Hat and you will initially be focused on sales and technical enablement across the APAC region. Working closely with sales leaders throughout Asia, you'll increase sales and help the business exceed the revenue target. You will also collaborate closely with Sales and the business to accurately understand the pipeline and identify top inhibitors to improve the sales process. For the long term, your responsibilities will increase in the area of business planning, go-to-market analysis, marketing guidance, resource planning, and so forth.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Work with Sales to bring the necessary Red Hat resources to meet or exceed sales targets, as well as to maintain an accurate pipeline of deals that need assistance to close
    • Contribute towards channel enablement, reviewing and implementing programs, and monitoring
    • Communicate updates to the Sales team on a weekly and monthly basis as required
    • Communicate sales inhibitors to the storage group on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Within your first 90 days on the job, establish list of top sales inhibitors with an update process in place, accurate pipeline of top deals needing assistance with an update process in place, process for communicating updates to and from the Sales team
    • Guide positive end-to-end customer experience
    • Establish and integrate storage downstream community across the region
    • Introduce and lead all relevant storage programs in region
    • Establish competitive engagements as well as C-level storage engagements
    • Contribute to a portfolio-wide Red Hat growth perspective that looks to integrate storage as part of many solutions

    Required skills

    • Excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills
    • Solid technical and sales skills in storage and networking technologies, preferably in open source storage software
    • Sales support or enablement experience; strategic account planning experience is a plus
    • Prior experience in working in APAC closely aligned with headquarter teams like engineering, product management, and marketing teams
    • Salesforce.com user experience
    • Existing knowledge of storage technology, as well as the storage market and competition, is an advantage
