    Job summary

    The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Manager overseeing the technical relationship and resources dedicated to our SAP Alliance to join us in Walldorf, Germany. In this role you will manage the technical team and their engagement with SAP to ensure we meet the needs of our partnership and our mutual customers. This includes relationship management, technical account management, support services to SAP and to mutual production customers, documentation and certification efforts, and engineering activities. You’ll also translate the goals and strategies of our Global SAP partnership into scalable architectures that provide outstanding business value and user experiences. As a Manager, you will oversee a team of highly technical associates who are responsible for building this best-in-industry partnership.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Champion Red Hat at SAP through the endorsement of mutual goals and strategies
    • Manage an on-site team of technical account management and engineering professionals in Walldorf, Germany
    • Engage with SAP by building relationships with technical (support, engineering, Product Management) leadership both on-site and globally
    • Align with Red Hat's SAP Partner Alliance team, Engineering Partner Management, and internal stakeholders
    • Oversee critical business escalations of technical support and engineering issues originating from SAP and mutual customers
    • Foster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration between technical support, engineering, product management, sales, and professional services teams and customers to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction
    • Provide personal mentorship, direction, and skills evaluation to team members to maximize engagement and develop breadth and depth of technical and management skills
    • Manage the certification process of new Red Hat solutions with Red Hat and SAP teams

    Required skills

    • Experience leading a team in a technical support, support engineering, or customer services organization in a technology-oriented enviroo SAP SEnment
    • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to identify, develop, and motivate team members
    • Capacity to translate strategic plans into communication and implementation plans; experience guiding significant change management activities
    • Ability to interact cross-functionally at all levels of a company with associates from diverse backgrounds
    • Enterprise project management experience
    • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to make a timely decision
    • Outstanding communication skills; ability to interact courteously and effectively with customers, partners, and third-party vendors
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably in engineering or computer science
    • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and German
    • Ability to work from the SAP campus in St. Leon Rot, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
    • Basic understanding of SAP HANA and other SAP solutions is desirable
    • Solid understanding of open source software solutions and open source as a business model is a big plus
