    Job summary

    The Red Hat Middleware Engineering team is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join us in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will become part of our core engineering team which contributes to the development and maintenance of our integration projects and offerings. Your primary area of expertise will be JavaScript and its associated frameworks, especially React.js. As an Associate Software Engineer, you should ideally be also proficient in TypeScript and Java.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Design and develop web components and APIs
    • Work primarily with the front-end code
    • Work with user experience (UX) designers to bring user interface (UI) designs from concept to implementation through rapid prototyping and evaluation of design ideas
    • Publicize the work of the team via blogs, web postings, or conference talks

    Required skills

    • Experience building web applications using HTML and CSS, TypeScript, and React.js
    • Experience with Webpack, npm, Babel, Jest, and Redux
    • Positive attitude and desire to share ideas
    • Excellent communication skills; fluent written and verbal English language skills
    • Experience with agile development and open source projects
    • Proven ability to work under minimal supervision
    • Great communication and collaboration skills with a solid attention to detail

     

    The following are considered a plus:

     

    • knowledge of or experience with Java EE or Jakarta EE application
    • Knowledge of or experience with Google Web Toolkit (GWT)
    • Knowledge of or experience with integration technologies, including message-oriented middleware like Apache ActiveMQ or enterprise integration like Apache Camel
    • Contributions to open source projects
    • Knowledge of or experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
