    Job summary

    The Red Hat Finance team is looking for a Payroll Transformation Business Analyst to join us in our Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Finance headquarters in Cork, Ireland. In this role, you will work in a highly dynamic business environment on a project to transform Red Hat’s payroll process into a global, scalable solution. Your primary focus will be partnering with the EMEA payroll and global payroll transformation teams to define business requirements, assist in solutions design, and prepare for and perform user testing. As a Payroll Transformation Business Analyst, you will provide direction to ensure the company’s applications and processes align with and meet business requirements. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills and technical expertise to be able to provide best practices and recommendations for application development, deployment, and iterative refinement.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Analyze business workflows and technical requirements to create and refine user stories for the project
    • Analyze current business processes, suggest improvements, and participate in the implementation of new functionalities
    • Analyze the new process and create user acceptance test scripts; lead testing efforts in EMEA
    • Work with internal training team to ensure that new functionalities are clearly documented and reflected accurately in training materials
    • Provide post-implementation support to Red Hat’s payroll teams, third-party payroll partners, and other stakeholders

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance information systems, finance, accounting, or IT, or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years experience as a business analyst working on complex process reengineering or transformation projects; payroll specialization is a plus
    • Experience leading the documenting of business requirements and processes
    • Experience leading the development and performance of user acceptance testing
    • Experience working closely with third-party partners on solutions delivery
    • Experience working in payroll processing using global payroll vendors like ADP, NGA, and CloudPay is a plus
    • Solid analytical skills and the capability to bring stakeholders together to problem-solve complex issues
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience working in a globally distributed team
    • Experience using or optimizing Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) or Workday HCM is a plus
