    Job summary

The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Middleware Consultant to join us in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this role, you will gain understanding of our customers’ infrastructures and business issues and make recommendations appropriate to their environments. You’ll get a great opportunity to build on your core base of knowledge and work in a fast-paced environment by promoting Red Hat’s solutions.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
    • Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
    • Adapt to changing customer requirements
    • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Java or JEE solutions with excellent technical skills
    • Deep experience with at least one of the major middleware solutions, preferably Red Hat JBoss Middleware; experience with Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, webMethods, etc., will also be considered
    • Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders within both technical and business audiences
    • Ability to constantly learn new technologies on your own and apply the concepts you’ve learned to customers needs
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Knowledge of Hibernate and Apache Tomcat is a plus
