    Job summary

    Lead sales activities for financial services industry (FSI) accounts. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join us in Seoul, South Korea. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing booking numbers. You’ll develop and maintain relationships within these accounts and sell Red Hat’s offerings and professional services. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills because you will regularly call on customer executives within your assigned accounts with your manager. As a Business Development Manager, you will also need to understand executives' challenges to make call scenarios, define issues, and demonstrate how Red Hat's offerings and solutions can solve them.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Work on the business development of Red Hat’s open source solutions in finance and public sectors
    • Focus on customers, delivering Red Hat’s value and business strategy to meet customer needs
    • Work with finance and public sales teams, collaborating with partners to grow their and our business
    • Create go-to-market plans and growth strategies and carry out the sales plan for our offerings
    • Build strategic relationships with C-level and key business leaders
    • Create marketing materials to promote value propositions of Red Hat’s offerings for finance and public customers
    • Propose and review RFPs and RFIs to meet customer requirements better than Red Hat’s competitors

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of business development experience in public or finance sectors focused on software solutions
    • Ability to develop business based on good relationships with customers and the overall ecosystem
    • Good communication skills to develop open source software deals; understanding of Red Hat’s policies and open source software
    • Experience consulting and writing documentation for private cloud
    • Excellent balance of abilities, including being in charge and working as part of a team
    • Willingness to go on local business trips and the ability to manage your schedule
    • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
