Business Analyst

The Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Business Analyst to join us in Pune, India. In this role, we need a certified professional with a full understanding of industry standard project management practices and of Red Hat's internal policies and procedures. You will be responsible for providing business analyst support for the CEE Project Management Office (PMO). You’ll perform a variety of analyst functions across the entire life cycle of multiple projects, supporting both project and program managers as needed. You will be adept at prioritizing their own work, have exceptional analytical skills, and be comfortable creatively solving ambiguous business and technical problems of varied scope and complexity with minimal direct supervision. Within the project team, we will need you to guide the completion of a variety of tasks like the development of project business cases, requirements gathering, project planning and monitoring tasks, requirements analysis, change management tasks, and creation of formal project communications like progress reports and stakeholder presentations.

• Guide the creation of project business case development of new PMO requests
• Develop user stories and use cases for PMO projects
• Assist in all project planning activities
• Provide cost and benefit analysis for projects and programs
• Assist projects with monitoring and controlling activities
• Perform user acceptance testing of project deliverables
• Lead the analysis, prioritization, documentation, management, simplification, and communication of project requirements
• Assist with project communications functions like preparing project analysis reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Work with CEE Data Analytics team to guide the creation of relevant project data analyses
• Support the PMO through the development of the business analysis formal processes, documentation, and collateral

• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent verbal and written English communications skills, including technical writing skills
• 5+ years of experience of project management or business analyst roles
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA is preferred
• Thorough understanding of business process modeling, traceability, and quality management techniques
• Skilled at translating customer needs into business solutions and requirements using creative problem solving
• Ability to perform cost and benefit analyses
• Ability to work independently and lead others during projects
• Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as well as with indirect peers
• Valid PMI-PBA or IIBA-CBAP certification
• Other relevant certifications including ITIL, Six Sigma, PMP, PRINCE2, etc.
• Familiarity with Red Hat's solutions portfolio and open source software business models is a plus
