    Job summary

    The Red Hat Partner Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to manage and develop key Business Partner technical sales relationships in Montreal or Toronto, Canada. In this role, you will develop sales engineer, architecture, and technology practice relationships to become a trusted adviser and help influence and accelerate the adoption of our innovative Cloud Platforms and Application Development and Infrastructure solutions. You'll work with these strategic partnerships to generate incremental revenue growth and identify new projects for Red Hat solutions, including Application Infrastructure Services like Business Decision Management, Business Process Automation, DevOps, Container and Cloud Platforms. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will also work with our key GSIs, RSIs and VARs to design, solution and integrate Red Hat offerings into their overall portfolio, data centers, and route-to-market propositions.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Demonstrate Red Hat's value proposition, specifically with our cloud, application development, and middleware portfolio, to key partner technical sales teams to help identify and create valuable partnerships
    • Develop and deliver technical enablement plans and solution-oriented technical presentations with partners that are aligned with our North America (NA) go-to-market strategy
    • Conduct workshops and facilitate engineering and presales contacts with the partner ecosystem
    • Encourage and establish Red Hat offerings, with a solid focus on application development technologies, as the leading technology solution
    • Own and meet a revenue quota, perform regular reviews and reports about the opportunities your assigned partners are working on
    • Facilitate regular communication between the partners, Red Hat Business Units and Red Hat's Field Sales teams

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of experience with full life-cycle application development including demonstrated middleware architecture experience (Agile, SCM, CI/CD, TDD, SOA, MOM, governance, high availability, scaling, distributed applications, clustering, etc.)
    • 3+ year of presales and sales engineering experience
    • Understanding of complex enterprise-focused solutions and architectures; certifications like ITIL and TOGAF are a plus
    • Broad understanding of the IT application landscape (ERP, CRM, HCM, etc.) across infrastructure, middleware and cloud, and how it impacts businesses
    • Motivated and able to work well within a team
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with great presentation skills
    • Demnonstrated record of selling software technology
    • Willingness to travel up to 25-50%
    • Linux or open source product knowledge is an advantage
