Job summary

Serve as an integral part of the HR team to provide overall input to Red Hat’s purpose, values, and business objectives, while being the catalyst of our unique corporate culture. The Red Hat People (HR) team in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region is looking for an HR Manager to join us in Cork, Waterford, or Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you’ll be the point of contact for associates and business leaders. We’ll need you to guide the HR agenda for Ireland, translate business and organizational needs into annual regional HR country plans, and lead the implementation successfully. As an HR Manager, you will provide internal advisory and guidance on a broad range of HR topics around the associate life cycle like performance management, compensation and benefits, employment relations and grievance, local associate communications and personal development. You will be supported by and expected to partner with the EMEA team of people representatives and other HR functions like talent acquisition partners, training and development specialists, and shared services resources who will assist you in guiding your HR strategy and actions successfully. You will act as the HR Business Partner for Corporate Functions across EMEA.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Promote, activate, and support adoption of existing global and EMEA HR portfolio in assigned territory; evaluate acceptance and best practice of existing HR portfolio and provide insights and feedback to a portfolio owner
  • Support the EMEA Benefits team with program changes and be the local adviser on the portfolio of benefits available
  • Work according to the priorities of the talent strategy set by the EMEA or regional management, and collaborate with our global centers of excellence
  • Contribute to the development of the overall EMEA People team by sharing best practices, ensure knowledge transfer, and contribute to or lead HR projects
  • Build effective linkages and alliances with the Centers of Excellence (COE) to ensure alignment around implementation of HR processes and programs in the business
  • Handle employment relations matters; conduct meetings with associates and managers, moderate discussions, assess situations, provide adequate solutions
  • Provide expert employee relations advice, management and guidance to assigned leaders

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience within HR
  • Prior experience in the HR field working in an international and changing environment
  • Highly detail-oriented and diligent in completing tasks
  • Ability to be creative, as well as handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Open-minded with the ability to build solid business partnerships
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language is a plus
  • Interest in creating exceptional talent and Red Hat experience for the associates in the assigned country
  • Prior experience in recruitment is an advantage
  • Experience in compensations and benefits, training and development, performance management, and employment law is a plus
