    Job summary

    Manage sales, development, and partner engagement for Canada's Commercial Sector. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced Channel Account Manager (preferably based in Toronto) to manage our channel sales program for Canada. In this role, you will manage and develop the complete channel ecosystem within your assigned geography or vertical. You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, growth, and associated revenue target for Red Hat's partners.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Sell Red Hat’s solutions in the field through and with our partners
    • Promote and recruit new potential Red Hat partners
    • Participate in ongoing training and enablement within the partner ecosystem
    • Develop new accounts and expand existing accounts within your established region
    • Understand how Red Hat's solutions enable next-generation architectures-leveraging containers
    • Understand how Red Hat's solutions enable DevOps initiatives
    • Achieve sales, profitability, and partner recruitment objectives
    • Create partner business plans that align with Red Hat’s growth expectations

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of experience with channel partners
    • Thorough understanding of Canada's partner ecosystem and key players in enterprise infrastructure, middleware, and cloud
    • Comfortable working with partner and alliance c-level executives on business plans, budgets, and go-to-market plans
    • Understanding of direct sales cycles and UNIX, Linux, cloud, and middleware-related sales cycles
    • Passion for open source technology
    • Successful background selling with key partners in the assigned region
    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, or a technical discipline
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
