    Job summary

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a DevOps Business Development Manager to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will manage the adoption of Red Hat's application development, portfolio, container platform, and Open Innovation Labs solutions for our enterprise customers across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. You’ll work in a matrixed structure and own the overall outcome for Red Hat’s DevOps technology and services adoption by selling with and through the Enterprise Sales team. As a DevOps Business Development Manager, you will also be responsible for producing referenceable success stories internally around key strategic project wins. You’ll need to have excellent leadership skills and extensive experience transforming sales organizations and commercial exposure to system and configuration management solutions.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Sell subscriptions for Red Hat JBoss Middleware, OpenShift by Red Hat, and Open Innovation Labs solutions and services
    • Manage the sales and sales capability of Red Hat's DevOps solutions for our enterprise customers across APAC
    • Work in a matrixed structure and own the overall outcome for DevOps sales adoption by selling with and through the Enterprise Sales team
    • Produce referenceable DevOps success stories internally around key strategic project wins
    • Sell Red Hat's DevOps solutions portfolio by scoping, defining, and acquiring new business opportunities and tailoring a compelling narrative around them
    • Develop strategies and plans for the APAC region in order to develop in-country capability to sell, create larger pipeline, and participate in strategic, tactical, and forecasting planning
    • Promote Red Hat's value proposition to prospective customers within a highly competitive market
    • Manage and coach others to manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to closing of DevOps solutions in combination with the account managers for the customer
    • Meet quantitative and qualitative performance expectations and set high standards for articulation and presentation of key messages to C-level executives, both internally and externally

    Required skills

    • 15+ years of experience in vendor IT sales, ideally with experience in direct and overlay roles
    • 3+ years of experience in a competitor DevOps environment like CA, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Tibco, etc.
    • Good communication and technical skills that enable customer relationship development at engineering, commercial, and executive levels
    • Excellent technical understanding of our offerings; ability to understand customer business issues and technology requirements
    • Ability to produce a narrative to customers around a broad portfolio of solutions that meet their wider business objectives
    • Knowledge of program development approaches and technologies, DevOps, application integration, and container platform systems; passion for open source technology
    • Experience with complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing in the area of enterprise subscription agreements
    • Willingness to travel up to 60% across APAC
    • Excellent leadership skills and extensive experience transforming sales organizations; commercial familiarity with DevOps, application development, and container platform solutions
