Job summary

The Red Hat Presales team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to support our customers and partner ecosystem in Shenzhen, China. In this role, you’ll provide technical support to our Network Equipment Provider (NEP) Sales team to qualify sales opportunities and close deal. You will work with NEP Sales team throughout the opportunities digging, solution building and development, and proposal development processes, including planning partners recruiting, enablement, solution development, business opportunity identification, and participating in requirements capture meetings and technical discussions with prospective partners or customers. Also, you’ll help our partners in architecting solutions, presenting compelling recommendations, and convincing prospective Red Hat customers to implement our innovative open source solutions. You will play a critical role in capturing business and we’ll expect you to have a balance of consultative sales skills and broad technical knowledge and best solutions from across the JBoss Middleware portfolio, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) relative technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack) and DevOps tools, and more.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Be responsible for supporting Red Hat NEP sales efforts
  • Work as the technical focal of NEP Sales team to achieve business target
  • Understand Huawei and ZTE related requirements and provide demonstrations, deliver presentations, perform limited product evaluations, and deliver technical information to support the sales process
  • Use in-depth technology and multiple industries knowledge to provide and associate to sales building business around Huawei and ZTE
  • Developing and delivering business focused product presentations to executive level audiences in large customer organizations
  • Deliver public speeches and evangelize about the Red Hat solutions set at large seminars and events

Required skills

  • 10+ years of working experience in presales or as a consultant, especially in software embedded business with NEP in China; Huawei or ZTE presales experience is highly preferred
  • Good software architect skills in cross-domains Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform and AppDev (Java, Middleware, PaaS/Cloud)
  • Good communication and presentation skills; good experience as a speaker at conferences
  • Good planning and strategic thinking skills; experience with planning and implementing middle-term or long-term initiatives or programs
  • Solid technical expertise as well as excellent business insight
  • Business development and planning experience is highly preferred
