    Job summary

    Help us promote the sharing and adoption of our innovative Red Hat technology. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Manager for the Sales Specialist Professional (SSP) team to join us in our Nordic region. In this role, you and your team will cover the Nordic and Baltic regions. You’ll be responsible for the SSP team and your success will be measured on the solutions covered by the SSP team. You’ll be expected to enable customers to define, develop, and deploy next-generation strategies. You’ll be responsible for building, developing, and retaining your sales team, as well as customer and partner relationships. As a Manager, you will task the sales specialists to identify, qualify, and close opportunities with leadership and initiative to multiply our forces on the market and increase our coverage. You and your team will guarantee success for these solutions in the market for Red Hat. This role can based in any of our Nordic offices, ideally in either Copenhagen, Denmark or Oslo, Norway. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Lead a team of sales specialists across Nordics and Baltics while collaborating with local sales teams; serve as part of the Nordics management team
    • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets by establishing sales goals, monitoring the status of these, and taking appropriate action
    • Forecast the business accurately by line of solutions
    • Motivate, coach, and mentor the sales specialist teams to both grow existing accounts and capture new business throughout the region
    • Build and share best practices for selling multi-product solutions and contribute to successful large transformation deals
    • Collaborate and share with all teams involved in selling including global system integrators (GSIs), local partners, and sales teams
    • Play a practical role in the Field Sales team by maintaining a personal presence and by being highly visible throughout direct customer and partner engagements

    Required skills

    • Successful record of leadership responsibility (virtual or direct reporting teams) with a software sales organization with a proven experience developing sales organizations that consistently deliver significant year-over-year increases in revenue
    • Record of exceeding annual sales targets in new and emerging technology spaces
    • 5+ years of experience selling specialist solutions
    • Demonstrated expertise in building sales processes and solutions selling strategies in the emerging offerings marketplace
    • Solid planning, financial, and analytical skills; proven ability to apply these skills with business knowledge to complex situations with competing priorities
    • Ability to conduct yourself in accordance with Red Hat’s values
    • Team spirit and high sense of collaboration with other teams
    • Previous sales management experience is a plus
