Job summary

Help build an open inclusive culture encompassing the values of Red Hat. The People (HR) team in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region is looking for a Program Coordinator for Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you’ll need to have high initiative and good organizational skills. You will provide critical event coordination and project management, helping to connect different chapters across the region. This role is open to recent college graduates with relevant internship experience.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Provide logistics, coordination, and planning management for D&I initiatives, meetings, and events, including internal and external partners and vendors and key stakeholders
  • Perform event planning, agenda preparation, promotions and summary communications and messaging (drafting and distribution), attendee and facilities management, and related duties
  • Build solid partnerships with our global D&I Center of Excellence (COE)
  • Ensure that all initiatives are in line with our overall D&I strategy
  • Leverage the global D&I initiatives and implement them locally wherever they would be relevant
  • Create and nurture relationships with individuals and partner vendor organizations to develop a network of enthusiastic organizations engaged via active participation in the success of programs or projects
  • Evaluate and assess effectiveness and educational impact of programs and activities

Required skills

  • Excellent communication skills; customer service-oriented with a high degree of professionalism, responsiveness, and good judgment
  • Ability to prioritize and carry out multiple projects at once
  • Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced multicultural environment, sometimes with challenging time zone differences
  • Ability to resolve complex problems
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and can-do attitude with a solid sense of initiative
  • Demonstrated passion for D&I and comprehensive understanding of the importance of D&I
  • Proven experience organizing and planning events
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR or a related field
  • Inquisitive mind for technology and passion for open source is a big plus
  • 2-4 years working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are a plus
