    Job summary

    Oversee all aspects of facility management and services. Red Hat's Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) team is looking for a Facility Manager to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will provide direction and guidance to the local facility operations team to meet and exceed organizational and customer needs. You will be in charge of 4 buildings hosting more than 1000 people.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Manage Facilities Operations team's associates and develop a solid, flexible team that supports corporate initiatives
    • Be responsible for talent management of your team to include performance review, compensation management
    • Engage with local, regional, and global teams to support GWS and other corporate projects and initiatives
    • Engage with office leaders on their growth plans and general facilities needs
    • Create and review regional budgets within compliance with Red Hat practices
    • Track offices budgets, resolve variance, and suggest changes based on return on investment of expenditures
    • Work closely with the other GWS teams to carry out new initiatives and programs
    • Serve as an escalation point for major maintenance and repair issues between building, Property Management, and outside vendors
    • Lead Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives for the region, implementing global and regional programs as mandated by law or policy
    • Oversee and ensure compliance to all global and regional programs and policies
    • Support regional managera nd partner to complete tasks and projects related to the ongoing operation of the office
    • Organize coverage and team support during local team member absence

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of related experience
    • Good language skills in English and Czech
    • Experience as a team lead or with people management
    • Solid strategic and operational facilities management and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
    • Excellent customer service and people skills, ability to communicate effectively in verbal or written form
    • Extensive experience in most responsibilities listed above and advanced skills for developing systems and processes for smooth office operations
    • Demonstrated success in organizational development and experience working with a diverse team in a global environment with positive attitude toward resolving challenges and willingness to work with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to use office applications and willingness to learn new tools and resources
