    Job summary

    Join a group of strategic advisers that take a big picture view of customer's organization, analyze the challenges, and help to overcome them with comprehensive, cost-effective solutions.  The Red Hat Professional Services team is looking for an Infrastructure Architect to join our Benelux team in Amsterdam, Netherlands or Brussels, Belgium. In this role, you will become a subject matter expert for Red Hat's Infrastructure solutions, you will seek to understand our customers' technology, people, and processes, and recommend open source solutions that solve tough business problems. Join us and you’ll work on high-impact projects and see the direct effects of your work by helping enterprise customers grow. You will have ready access to new ideas that emerge in the IT world. An average day is rare for a Professional Services teams because there's always something new to learn or a new problem to solve.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Serve as the subject matter expert at the client site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
    • Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification, and the design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
    • Architect solutions to meet the unique requirements of Red Hat's new and emerging customers, and oversee proofs of concepts and pilot implementations of Red Hat's solutions portfolio
    • Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
    • Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat's services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk

    Required skills

    • Multiple years of architecture experience, with several years specifically focused on data center infrastructure, virtualization, and in-cloud offerings
    • Record of working in consulting
    • Expert-level knowledge of infrastructure technologies
    • Knowledge of one or more Red Hat's infrastructure solutions like Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat CloudForms, Openshift by Red Hat, or competitive; knowledge of Red Hat OpenStack platform is a plus
    • Good customer-facing skills; ability to present ideas and facts to customers and guide customer interactions
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proven ability to work well with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers
    • Willingness to travel up to 70% across the Benelux region, with an emphasis on the Netherlands or Belgium (depending on the place of residence)
    • Desire to work with passionate people and make an impact
