    Job summary

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Junior Cloud Consultant to join us in France. In this role, you will receive a training to gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructure and business needs, and make recommendations appropriate to their environment. You’ll build your core technical expertise and work in a fast-paced environment promoting Red Hat solutions. We’ll also expect you to soon guide the on-site delivery and implementation of innovative technology that brings freedom, flexibility, choice, and premium performance. The position is a great opportunity for talented recent graduates passionate about open source and technology.     Primary job responsibilities

    • Work directly with clients onsite or remotely
    • Serve as the subject matter expert at the client site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
    • Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
    • Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
    • Adapt to changing customer requirements
    • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

    Required skills

    • General computer science or engineering background
    • Passion and enthusiasm for IT and the open source community
    • Interest in open source technologies; knowledge of UNIX or Linux is a plus
    • Understanding of cloud or middleware implementations and their business impact
    • Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders
    • Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and planning skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Familiarity with programming languages like Ruby or Python
    • Willingness to travel up to 75%
